Hi, I’m a bit confused

How does cellulose stop the cell wall bursting under osmotic pressure ???

Any help would be appreciated, thanks!!!

It doesn't burst, it goes flaccid due to osmosis

Due to its structure, forms straight chains, many H bonds provide strength etc. hence why its strong and rigid.

The Q does make sense, without cellulose(which makes up the cell wall) the plant cell will burst, instead of being flaccid
