For things such as state school/UCAT bursary/postcode check, they do this.
Individual unis will send out eligibility forms for 16-19 bursary etc

in the ''additional information'' it will ask yes/no if your parents have attended uni. Their income isn't on the UCAS form individual unis will send you eligibility forms.

Quick question might sound weird, but do foundation year medicine students fit in, like are they looked down on (bc they didn't get into "actual" medicine) ? and then after the foundation year do we stay in the same groups or do we join the new students in the 5 year course ?

I'm not an actual student but id say you shouldn't really care about if you'd be looked down on, its a career and your passion at the end of the day. At the end of foundation years you join the 5 year course students

I've attended many taster days and summer schools that offer the foundation year and I can gladly say that I have always seen the foundation students integrate really well with 1st-year students - although some gravitate towards their group from year 0. Also, I have never felt a vibe that the 0 zero's are seen as any different from the non-foundation students. If anything their very open and welcoming to the idea of a scheme that allows people who may not have previously been able to get into medicine, study medicine.
