Hey guys :burnout:
so I’ve decided to complete the grow your grade blog to hopefully inspire me and others to do well this year.
This month I have just gone into year 11.
I have already completed my RS GCSE back in May. My target grade was only a 3 however I managed to get a grade 6
Btw these are my end of year 10 mocks and target grades:
Spoiler:
Show
Maths- got a 5- target 5
English lit- got 7 target 6
English lang- got 5 target 6
combined science- got 7,7 target 5,6
drama- got 4 target 8(worst subject)
graphics- got 4 target 5
food- got 7 target 6
geography- got 5 target 6

First month into year 11
I have recently just completed my first assessment in year 11 it was a non calculator maths paper, maths is not my strongest subject I’ve never really been good at it, I revise by using Corbett Maths Cards to revise and they are £10 I’ll put the link in if you want to view the website: https://corbettmaths.com/revision-cards/
Update:I got a grade 6 in this maths paper! I was super happy about it.

Revising for my mocks
I have 6 weeks until my first year 11 mocks in December, I spent the October half term focusing on science revision, I would 10/10 recommend using science with hazel wether you’re doing A levels or GCSEs.
December 2019
This is now the week of my mocks, I’ve put up mindmaps all over my wall and post it notes in areas I’m most likely to look in e.g. mirrors, outside of fridge.
I’ve also read over and made notes based on the specification of each subject so I know exactly what the examiners are after.

Reflecting on your past grades is a great way to set goals - it looks like you're off to a great start!

Best of luck - I'm going to watch the thread!
