Hey guys was wondering if anyone had any interpretations for this quote from dr jekyll and mr hyde. Im looking for loads of different interpretations

This is Jekyll desperately trying to convince Utterson to support Hyde if he (Jekyll) should disappear. We don't know the truth about Hyde at this point but, when we do, this seems almost confessional. The repetition highlights Jekyll's investment in Hyde. Remember, Hyde is Jekyll's great project: the culmination of his scientific ambition.
