I was pretty set on MMU until I started reading stuff here about how seriously people seem to take the uni reputation. I know Man Met has an amazing fashion institute but is Uni of Manchester better?? I’ve applied for both and currently sitting on two A levels at BB and two ASs at BC with the B most likely becoming an A after I finish it this year leaving me with ABB. Someone help :;

Manchester only offer fashion business courses. If you want to study anything creative then MMU is a much better option (as in they actually attend graduate fashion week!)

Hello there :hi:,

Choosing the right course and university are definitely two difficult things, especially with so much choice within the same subject specialism. Have you had a chance to come and visit us on one of our Undergraduate Open Day? It is a really good opportunity to attend talks from the academic staff who teach on our courses, as well as chatting to students who are currently studying at Manchester Met. I think it's the best way to get a good understanding on whether you could enjoy your time here as a student and develop the knowledge and skills you will need for your desired career .

As you have applied to BA (Hons) Fashion Buying and Merchandising and Fashion Business and Management, you may find it interesting to know that we offer both courses with a Placement Year option, which many students have found useful in order to gain 'hands-on' experience in the fashion industry., as well as securing graduate positions within the companies they undertook their placement.

Hope this helps & let us know if you have any further questions on our courses :yy:.
