Access to HE nursing and midwiffery.

Hi.
I'm an adult student and about to start the access to HE nursing and midwiffery course via distance learning.
I'm just wondering if anyone has done useful tips to help me with my studies (learning books to buy or online material)
Also curious as to what jobs would be available to me with this diploma if I decide not to go into a nursing degree (which I probably will) I'm just curious and google is sending me in circles.

Thanks

Phil

Age?
Previous study ? How did you do in GCSEs? Its fine if you dont have any or just English and Maths.
Trying to gauge what your previous study was.

General study skills then a 2nd hand copy of the good study guide.

1. Look at your course spec.

2. Guessing Access has a science component , which may be Bio or Chem or a mix. You might consider these CGP books which aim to bridge the gap from GCSE to A level. You can then just use normal intro textbooks.

3. Access is still quite new and is mostly designed for uni entry. There are other degrees which require no specifics. It doesnt have enough science, but you could do degrees which have no requirements such as Law or Allied health degrees. Play with these to give you an idea.

Enter something like English, Sociology and Biology.
