I do alevel geography and wondering which tide is stronger: neap or spring tide? And what are their influences on the coast? (I know erosion but I’d like more explanation)

A spring tide produces a higher high tide, and a lower low tide. This means the intertidal range is far greater so the erosive power of wave action is spread across a far larger area of the coastline. A spring tide accompanied with a low pressure storm system can create very destructive storm surges that can devastate coastal areas.
