classics or classics and modern languages at Oxford?

hi,
I am undecided about choosing between classics and classics with modern languages.
equally enjoying both and studying Latin, Spanish, History and Politics for my A Levels.
Have got an A level in Russian in year 10, continue with that and learning Mandarin outside school. Only a few colleges at Oxford offer joint degree, total intake 6 people, while classics course intake over 100.Will going for CML verses classics diminish my chances for interview?

Just because there is a smaller intake doesn't mean it is tons harder to get in, it might just be that there are fewer applicants. In that case it might be easier to 'stand out' in a smaller cohort of applicants. Russian and Mandarin are different and more interesting than doing European languages. Ultimately I think you will have to think about which you would prefer to study for 3/4 years. Also look at courses at other unis in case Oxford doesn't work out, as you will have to send the same personal statement to everyone even if the course is slightly different.

Pretty sure you can still get an offer for straight Classics if they like you enough. Or conversely, for your modern language. I've heard of this with History joint honours, definitely.
