Moving into student accommodation late
Hi all.
I'll be moving into private student accommodation tomorrow which is later than usual. As other people would of moved in at the end of August. I want to be sociable in my accommodation and I don't want it to be awkward when I arrive. How do I go about making friends and introducing myself beforehand? I was thinking of joining the Accommodation's group chat on Facebook and saying some things on there, will that be fine? Does anyone have any suggestions on what I could write down in the chat - should I include my flat number?

There’s no harm in it. That way your flat mates will know you’re coming and when and who you are. Your room is just empty and they’ll have no idea that you’re on your way.

Just introduce yourself simply with your name and flat/room number and say you’re
