I am not an expert, but I guess you could talk about how London is a city where most people come to work and shop. People usually come from outside the city in the morning and come home for the night. If stores in London lose customers it may course a chain reaction where people that work in those stores have to come home with less money, which would lead to them spending less it money on their local economy. Hope this gets you started.
