I’m writing my coursework for English literature A level and was planning on doing The picture of Dorian Gray and Marxism, however I’m really struggling to understand Marxism and link it to the book, can anybody think of any ideas? Or a better book that I could use.

I was also interested in doing post colonial ways of reading if anybody could suggest a book for that.

Thanks

Hey!
For the Marxism, you could go for Animal Farm, since one of the characters actually represents him. Or any dystopia really.
Search up post-colonial books- some I would go for are Things Fall Apart, The God Of Small Things, Wide Sargasso Sea, A Passage To India and Midnight's Children.
But Google away!
