Provisional Driving License - D1 form?
Hi,
I tried applying for my provisional driving license online but I didn't complete the application process and then I forgot my details. I just rang them up and they said I will now need to apply using a D1 form from the post office.
Has anyone done this before/can this be used to apply for a provisional license?

A D1 form is the one which most people use to apply for a provisional (or any other license for that matter).
It's quite straightforward if you read it carefully.. get someone to check over it after you have completed it.
Oh, and pick up a couple of copies, because you are guaranteed to make a mistake on at least one.
Your provisional should take about 4/5 days to arrive after you have sent off the application form (D1).

Presumably, if they tell you it can be used to apply for a provisional licence, then it can.

4/5 days?! The DVLA says "anything up to 6 weeks". Mine took about 2.

OK cool thanks. I thought most people apply online? But she said because I'd already tried applying online once or something, that I will have to get the form instead so just wanted to make sure. Thanks for your help 
I applied with a paper form.
