how was the exam?
Can you share your answers? What did u get for the possible values of k?
Also, what was the value of c in the last question?

For the possible values of k I got 10+-root32 which can be written as 10+-4root2

Last question I found the value of C to be -2.

Are these correct?

what did you do to get the value of k cuz i found the first derivative then equated it to -2 from the tangent equation since its the gradient. then i replaced x with the x-intersect which was -4/k in my case. i ended up getting positive and negative square root of 8 as an answer but in surd form

my answer for c was 4/5 but im not too sure about it cuz i think i messed up one of the numbers when finding c of f'(x)

You had to minus this by 180 as they stated in the q that the angle is obtuse

and yea wtf was the answer to that question where we 'briefly describe the relationship between the answer to (a) and the answer to (b)'. i didnt answer it cuz all the my braincells were dead at that point and it was literally only one mark

yes ..i got the same answer.. i divided 40 by 2 and used 1/2absinc formula to get the angle and then subtracted the answer by 180

For k I got the same answers however for the last questions c is equal to -12
