Pro's:
Able to switch specialities whenever you want - as you're a generalist.
PA's have a diverse array of tasks that they do on a day to day basis, depending on the department.
You can assist in surgery - however, I am unsure as to what degree.
Spend fewer years studying to become a PA in comparison to a doctor.

Con's:
Currently in the UK PA's cannot prescribe.
Cannot specialise and therefore cannot become a consultant.
Do not have as much responsibility as a doctor (although this can be a pro, depending on the person).

PA's are far in demand, so job prospects are amazing!
