Headache on side of head

I'm currently looking for a job so I experience a little stress, but lately I've noticed I get minor, dull headaches on the sides of my head, or, as is the case right now, on the right side of my head next to my temple and ahead of my ear.

Working with computers a lot (that is my trade), is there anything I can do which is not obvious, to reduce the likelihood of getting headaches? I keep worrying they are the sign of something serious (this thought process alone can't be good for me), and I never used to get headaches. I guess they are the price to pay for being an adult...

Thanks
Do you have any dull pains that last for a few seconds behind your eyes?

I had exactly the same pains with some slight pain behind the eye. I also work with computers ALOT! I was told today by eye doctor that my eyes and eye pressure is fine but I need to wear my glasses when I am concerntrating. He actually had a go at me.

Are you drinking enough water?
Sometimes headaches (or migraines in fact) can be on one side.

Or, it could be eyesight - if you haven't recently, get your eyes checked.

I would second that. On the other hand headaches can cause the eye pain. Still get them checked.

Funnily enough, I have experienced pain in my right eye (as in, inside). But it lasts just a few seconds and doesn't effect vision.

My headaches can spread to other areas of my head, such as to the front or front corner, then back to the sides.

I drink plenty of water yes, but I may have days where I don't as I am severely preoccupied. I know there is no excuse and all that, though...

What's the prognosis guys?

Thanks
Death?

Nah, possibly eye problems. So, again, see an optician. You may need weak glasses for reading and such.

If your eyes are fine, see a doctor.

If they can't find anything, write out a will.

Why am I so morbid today.

sounds like a very mild migraine to me. or a stress headache. I get really really bad migraines where I have to lie down and I shake and stuff (just pre-empting anyone saying I don't know what a real migraine is) but i've also had the beginnings of a migraine as such, which is exactly how you're describing, dull pain one one side of my head and eye, usually when I'm tired or stressed. Just drink lots of water, try and minimise stress and if they continue or get worse go and have a chat with your doctor
Just don't cut out tea or coffee if you drink it regular, that will make issues worse as you will get withdrawn.

i had the same problem and i was scared it was something serious like a brain tumour but no worries; i went to the doctors to get it checked out and he just said it was stress. that sort of reduced my stress of thinking i had a brain tumour and it went away hahaa!! now gcse's are on they have come back.

i went to see the opticians and she also said my eyes were 20:20 and she also said it was definately down to stress.

but if you do feel worried go to the doctors because it will make you feel 10x better!
