Hello, so basically...
Im in year 10 and take spanish, history, triple science and further maths, im expected fairly high grades (8 for all) but im not enjoying it😂
My biggest regret is giving up music, i used to play trumpet (no grades but could read sheet music and all that) i stopped playing in year 7.
Could i do an a level in music technology if i started learning piano now ( starting lessons next week anyways😁) and taught myself some music theory? Or is it to late?

You should talk to whoever is in charge of the course and ask what they require,

Do tow facilitatings with it if you can and you should still have plenty of degree courses open.
If you talk to the teacher now and make sure you do some off course learning then am sure it will be fine. Luckily you are asking with time to spare.

I know you've probably already picked by now but incase this still helps or helps anybody else...

You Definitely Could!

I started music tech this year and could barely play the piano. I'm a drummer and since starting this course I've been able to learn some piano (I'm awful) and also I'm now teaching myself guitar and bass too.

Music theory wise it will definitely help you for the composition elements of the course but I knew none when I started and have managed alright - if your school is different and needs that theory knowledge there's loads online.

I Have no regrets taking music tech. I've never enjoyed a subject as much as I have this!

if you've got anymore questions feel free to ask
