Hi i’m currently in Year 12 and studying History and Spanish A Levels with Music Technology Level 3 and i’m already struggling and really wanted to apply for Sussex and i’m scared I wont get the grades that i need (ABB-BBB) Is there anything I can do to boost UCAS points so that I can feel more secure incase I don’t do as well as i hope?

Splitting your efforts away from your A levels isn’t a great idea.

Talk to your teachers to get extra help and extra work to help you get the grades from your A levels.

Sussex goes by grades not ucas points. The only thing to do is get your grades looking good. some unis like bournemouth and manchester metropolitan uni (ex-polys) dp entry requirements by ucas points (for example 112 ucas points for a certain course) so that would help you for those but for unis like sussex epq, arts award or anything that gets you more ucas points won’t help, it’s just down to grades. Your teachers are a bit **** for not explaining this to you

why tf are you only doing 2 A levels?

fortunately there are plenty of good ex-polys who go on UCAS points eg. Oxford Brookes
