My oyster is gone and i don't know how to tell my perents

I have lost my oyster last week friday and found out on Sunday since then I don't have the courage to tell my parents because it's the 6th oyster card and I feel anxious about it. What do I do? Any tips on how to retrace my step because it would in my house or the car.
Just tell them, but next time make sure you have designated place to keep your card
