It'd be easier to check your table of values but it's not fully visible.

X = -1 is incorrect

(-1) ^2 + 3 (-1) - 4 = - 6

x = 2 can't read

x = 3 wrong

Try showing all your steps. I've done the calculation for x = - 3 as an example.

Values look good. Note the symmetry about -1.5.

The minimum is at x = -1.5. A quadratic is symmetric about its turning point (min or max).

When you have the quadratic ax^2 + bx + c = 0
The turning point is at x = -b/(2a). In this case b=3, a=1 so the turning point is = -3/2

I'm so sorry, you've lost me there. This is my first exposure to these graphs, I'm basically trying to pass igcse maths in 2 and a half months by self study. having zero background in the subject. So unfortunately its baby steps all the way.

No problem. Sometimes its useful to have some things to guide you, but if it confuses more than helps, treat it like all "bad" advice.
