Accommodation advice please

HI do you know if many first years opt to live at HOX park, or do you advice its best to stay on campus?
I really like the rooms at Hox park but I am worried that it will be harder to make friends and socialise there
And where is Hox Park?

Hox park is student living clusters about 7 mins by their shuttle and 20 mins walk to uni

Thanks for your message!

Accommodation comes down to personal choice and where you feel you would be happiest.
I lived in Founder's building in my first year and really enjoyed my experience living on campus, being very close to my lectures and other friends on campus, as well as events on in the evenings. I can't say exactly how many first years opt to live at Hox park but I do believe that they have social areas that you can use.
There are lots of societies and sports clubs that you can get involved with and make friends through, as well as on your course and the people you will live with either on campus or off. I found during my first year the best way to make friends was just to get as involved as possible.

hi! I had the same concerns as you.. my friend and I are first year and we will both probably be living in hox park! I guess there will be first year students after all:smile:

Hey! I sent you a message. I’m also a first year student and I’m very worried about moving to hox park or choosing the uni accommodation

Are you moving in tmrw (the 12th) or next weekend? Also do you know if there are any other first years in hox park?
