Why would you ever use wikipedia for anything? Most of its articles will provide citations anyway. Quote them.

For the IB, am I allowed to use wikipedia as a source, or is it frowned upon?

Never. Ever. Do It.

I SO AGREE.
i read an article that using wikipedia can actually lower people's grades.

from what ive heard IB don't consider wikipedia a good source
I cited a wikipedia article in my EE.. haha.
Well, we shall see on Sunday what they thought about that :P
Dont quote wikipedia.

BUT - find a useful page on wikipedia, go to the bottom of it and you will see the source links. View them and use them for quotes/sources etc.

MUCH BETTER :-)
