Bowlby's attachment theory

Outline and Evaluate Bowlby's attachment theory.
You get 6 marks for outlining, and another 10 marks for evaluating. Try and aim for a 1.5 pages worth of writing, and mention a mixture of positive and negative evaluations to reach the top bands.

Create a simple 12 mark essay plan template which you can use for all your 12 mark questions. this helped me so much so I knew I wasn’t missing anything.

AO1 - outline the key points of the theory

AO3 - Strenghts of the theory and weaknesses.
Try to include as much evaluation as possible but be careful not to contradict yourself. Some points you will read in your books may do this.

Another tip to ensure top marks is to link your evaluation to your AO1 smoothly...
Use discourse markers...
In addition... (add supporting evidence as to why the theory is good)
On the other hand ( add a point which shows the theory lacks praise)
Furthermore... (to link to supporting arguments that fit well together).
