Maths Discriminant Question

Can anyone help with this question? If it helps the answer is k = -5, I just cannot figure out how to get there!

Find the set of values of k which satisfy the conditions
0= 𝑘𝑥^2 2 + 𝑘𝑥 + 𝑥 has discriminant equal to −24.
The discriminant of the general quadratic ax² + bx + c is - 4ac.
So identify the values of a, b and c for your quadratic (some will be expressions involving k).
Substitute these values into - 4ac = -24.
Then solve for k.
