Who else loves Japanese Horror?

they are more of a psycological fear rather than gore. Ths makes you not want to move just incase there is something around the corner and question what's behind every corner.

I've seen:
The ring 0,1,2,3
The grudge 1 & 2
Dark water
one missed call

My favourite was the grudge and the worst was one missed call

anyone else have a favourite or know any other good japanese horror movies?

I love Battle Royal too. :five: Can it be classed as horror? I like how it's more psychological and more clever than other horrors/thrillers that go: "here's a big haunted house and people die one by one due to some sort of ghost thing."

the japanese grudge absolutely terrified me.

i would recommend 'a tale of two sisters', it can seem very bewildering in terms of the plot but i really loved it. japanese horror is the best in my opinion.

Well, I was definitely terrified the first time I saw it, so I class it as horror

(oh, and there's a bunch of gory things too)

'twas the first time I saw something that wasn't made in Europe/the US, and I loved the discovering of another culture's horror movies

Try Korean too. Phone is absolutely terrifying. I was literally screaming.

As for Japanese, you should check out Infection too. Pretty gross.

Also no way is Battle Royale horror. If people had read the novel they'd realise...

Granted, but when you're 10 years old it does affect you somehow :p:

The movie really is captivating though, partly because of the omnipresent tension that revolves around the characters.

I was about 10 when I watched it! Was absolutely obsessed with it at the time. It's more a political story than horror though.

I've only seen "The Grudge" Japanese. I really liked it.

I wanted to buy "The Eye", Japanese...any comment/suggestion?
EDIT: I just found out it's from Hong Kong.
