Was on the metrolink and the ticketmaster asked me for my ticket, I couldn’t find it and I told him I’d lost it, he took my details and I gave him my real name and address like a nob head (he had no way of tracking me I just didn’t think he was that arsed about persuing it) turns out I was wrong and he issued me a £50 fine, I’ve never even had a warning before. I sent an email with pictures of my ticket which I found when I got home. Basically if my appeal doesn’t go through is there anyway of getting out of paying it. Like if I just ignore the payment will they eventually stop asking or not

Don't worry about it if you've got evidence of your ticket.
