I got 8/9 in everything except maths GCSE, where I got a 7. Will I still be able to get offers from medical schools or will I realistically have no chance of gaining offers without an 8? (I know that most medical schools require a minimum of a 6 in maths but do only those with at least an 8 in maths likely get offers?)

just check the requirements, if it says you need 7s and higher you’re fine. again, it’s about A-Levels. They want to know you have the basic knowledge, they’re not going to take one person over the other because they did better in maths GCSE

Not all med schools have GCSE requirements, not all requires straight A*s (but Oxford and Cardiff, amongst others, will need their applicants to have them). On the other hand, Cambridge has absolutely no GCSE requirements.

Read https://www.medschools.ac.uk/media/2...al-schools.pdf for all UK med schools' requirements.

For future reference, there is a thread for questions like these (from GCSE students). It's over here: https://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/sho....php?t=5678544
