Broadcast journalism/journalism

Which is the best to study Journalism/Broadcast journalism at? UWE, Nottingham Trent, Sheffield (might not get in tho), Goldsmiths and any other good uni's to study it at with high chance of a good job afterwards? preferably in England and not Scotland or Wales, and any opinions you may have on each uni for this course

Hi there 👋

You may be interested in Goldsmiths BA Journalism, which can help you to develop digital, reporting, and news-writing skills while working on real-world news.📰

To decide which course is best for you, I recommend visiting some of the universities you are interested in at their Open Days. It can be hard to get a feel for a university from their website alone, so I would definitely encourage you to visit the campus/accommodation and speak to people in the departments.

If you're free, we have an undergraduate Open Day coming up at Goldsmiths on 6 November 2019, you can find more info here: www.gold.ac.uk/open-days/

If you have any questions feel free to send me a message! 😊

sheffield, oxford brookes, nottingham trent, bournemouth and newcastle all have good reputaitons, particularly the first two. I am hoping to get into sheffield! Take a look at some league tables and the NCTj website and you'll see this unis tend to crop up the most often.
Hope i've helped!

Hi, have you considered Bournemouth as one of your options? This is our Multimedia Journalism course.

The university halls are located a 5 minute walk from the travel interchange (coaches and trains) and the trains only take between 90 minutes and 2 hours to get to London (direct to Waterloo), so the transport links are great. Halls are also only a 10 minute walk to the beach, town centre and 15-20 minute walk to the main Talbot campus although frequent uni buses leave from outside most halls and it takes 5-10 minutes.

Whichever universities you're interested in I would highly recommend visiting them at an open day and ask the academics lots of questions and make sure the course is a right fit for you.

If you have any questions about Bournemouth please let me know.

Many Thanks

Vicki
