Economics at the University of Aberdeen

What’s it like studying economics at Aberdeen? I’ve heard very mixed opinions about the social sciences at Aberdeen

I'm an Economics graduate from Aberdeen. It's honestly great. What are your concerns?

Also, what are your other option?

I have met a few people studying a social science at Aberdeen and they say that the department isn’t great, mainly because of ‘lack of support’.

Other options: Glasgow, Strathclyde, St Andrews and Dundee

I'm doing Sociology at Aberdeen, so still a social science but pretty different from Economics. I agree with the first response, I think it's great honestly. I would even say that the support here is amazing. I've had lots of questions (sometimes after lectures, sometimes just random ones), and whenever I emailed my tutors or my lecturers, they were always so happy to help and really nice, and they got back to me within 2 days max.
They also have office hours so you can see them then or email them for a different appointment. I felt like the lecturers, the tutors and the entire staff are incredibly helpful and really supportive, and I'm really happy with the way everything runs and is organised.

If you have any more questions, let me know and I'll do my best to answer them
