I am currently completing a university specific application and one of the questions I must answer is if I am eligible for free school meals. I currently attend a private school with a 100% bursary but I know that I would be eligible for free school meals if I attended a state maintained school because of my parent's income and also because my siblings received free meals. So I was wondering if I should check the box that says I am eligible, or if the fact that I attend a private school negates my eligibility.

You need to ask the university whether they are asking about your general eligibility or about if you're currently receiving FSM

Hi,

We would recommend you speak to your university if the application is specific to funding that they offer.

Thanks, Tégan
