please keep anon or delete if have to because I do find this embarrasing.

Since I've been off school, I have been at home and not been doing much as the friends I do talk to are still in school, and the ones in my school hang out with people I don't like so I don't really see them either, and Ive been really finding it hard to stop myself from eating in the house.

Constantly I'm always going to the kitchen wanting something to munch or eat again and again.

It's very embarrasing.

I'm not obese, I'm average for my weight.

I just dont seem to care when I'm at home. I find that it's only when Im at home I do this.

If I'm at school I won't Or when Im busy I wont constantly eat. but only when Im at home, which is bad because as I said Im constantly at home due to no job, no school etc.

I JUST CAN't stop eating!!!!!!!!

Any advice or reply will help and be appreciated, thank you.

I do this, too. If there's food around, I'll pick at it. It's not abnormal but it is immensely frustrating.

Try to go out. Even if it's just for a walk or up to the shops or something, it will get you away from the food.

Exercise helps, too. If you've been for a run, you're less likely to want to 'spoil' the good effects by picking at crap from the fridge.

Can't you get a job? It will reduce the amount of time you're at home.

I also eat a lot when I have nothing to do but I find ways around it like really making myself think 'I really am not hungry',

OR I find this helps quite well... seeing as you have nothing to do, why don't you cook, like proper, a whole meal, maybe even for the people you live with something that takes time... something healthy to counteract any junk food you eat!! You really don't need special stuff and even if you decide on something where you're gonna have to buy stuff in it doesn't have to be expensive AT ALL (that's a promise) then you can't eat while you're cooking (well not much) and usually after handling so much food it makes you feel a lot less hungry etc, it's really worth a try

Thank you,and yeah my parents are always telling me to go for a walk in the park or to shops, but I just never do because my home is my comfort zone if you know what I mean.

I wish I had a treadmill at home as I never excersize without gym equipment.I just can't see myself running on the spot

hi and thanks

I don't think a job is for me.
Im not very confident and I don't like new surroundings or new faces that may be judgemental of me, so I can't get a job. Im hoping to when Im a bit older though like 18 but just not at 16, I have a low self esteem atm to do that.

thanks for that idea.Just might try it! if my parents are ever at home!
but I do cook anyways like a big curry or pasta with garlic bread.
But even after Ive had these big meals I always feel like something else to munch on, as I just like food and the variety of it-especially when I watch things like masterchief
But this is only when Im at home-dont think Im such a greedy git

thanks again

Maybe you could use a site like TheDailyPlate.com?
On that site you can track what you're eating, and then when you're about to grab an unnecessary snack you'll stop because you wouldn't want to put it on your track on TheDailyPlate!
I've been using it for over a month now, although it has been for losing weight but you can use it to maintain aswell or just to keep track of eating habits, and I've found it really useful. It has stopped me on a number of occasions on boring Saturdays from eating a whole packet of chocolate biscuits :p:

I think there's a job out there for everyone! Try working with an agency, they don't care who you are, you get jobs where you open envelopes or pack boxe... and get paid!! It's boring as hell but the wage slip makes it worth while, I did that when I was 16, seriously hardly anyone talks to you and don't care if you wana have a chat or not and you'll probably find other people you know doing it too. Above all you seriously need no self esteem!!! I did agency work when i turned 16 and did it for three summers (because you're kept on file) and then you could buy some gym equipment for home!!!!!

I eat loads but I'm not remotely overweight. Definitely underweight, in fact. From your post it sounds like you're quite young. Most people of that age eat a lot, it's perfectly normal. If you're of normal weight for your size, what's the problem?

Hiii

Maybe you over eat because you are bored and it gives you something to do. I have a friend who use to do this during the college holidays and by the time she got back to college she had put weight on. You could find something else to take your mind off the food and get you out of the house for example get a part time job or take up a hobby x]

Good Luck

Oh yay!! There's like 3 agencies where I live so they must be well spread, have a look in your nearest town or find some phone numbers... I'll help if you are serious. You really will benefit from the muny too, think of the opportuities I don't know what I would have done without money!!

Well, no matter how much I eat I also never seem to loose weight or gain weight-I just stay the same-which Im very lucky for I know

The problem is my health and the habit of just constantly finding something else to eat etc.
I just always feel sluggish and heavy and tummy ache and weak and know I have to stop-but is purley out of boredom like I said and others have said-and I am only 16, so I should be watching my figure but just am not.

There's nothing drastically wrong with eating a lot as long as it doesn't make you sick/obese.
