I am taking WJEC AS Maths in september, but want to get a bit of a head start and start reading something over the summer in Starbucks and at home as I struggle at maths . So I want to get some good revison/student guides. The topics I am doing are :-

Unit C1
Pure Mathematics 1

Unit C2
Pure Mathematics 2

Unit S1
Statistics 1

-------------------------------------------------------------------

Does anyone know any good books on the above it would be much appreciated

Well the cgp book is very good, bt the best books will be the ones ur teachers give u next yr as they will be written by the examiners, covering everything you need to know

I got 100% in WJEC C1 and C2 using only this book. You'll probably be given it. Link.

If you're trying to get a head-start, why not just try and do a bit of the first module that you're going to learn? rather than buying all three books that you're unlikely to get through over the summer. Core 1 is certainly fairly easy to get started on self-teaching .

Generally when I have a maths problem I just use a calculator to find the answer.
