I've studied one year of a HE access course at a University.
I received funding for this course through SFE.

I am currently studying a 4 Year course with a year International experience, I've received funding from SFE for this course however I am talking to my University about changing courses (it's currently week 4).

If I am declined the opportunity to change I fear I will withdraw from the course. How will this effect my future funding if I decided to re-enrol?

Hi there,

Previous study at the higher education level may is considered when assessing student's entitlement to finance. This will depend on whether you studied full-time or part-time and if you received a qualification.

We use the following calculation to work out your entitlement:

Duration of new course + Additional Year - Previous Study = Entitlement

Can you confirm how many years you have studied previously and the length of your new course.

Thanks, Amy

Hi,

Is the new course you are looking to change to also 4 years?

Thanks, Amy
