RAF Medical TMU

Hello guys ,
let me write how my application process goes
I’ve already pass my AST and interview on March and done Medical test on March 2019as well , unfortunately the Doctor tell me that my both Ears was not impair and my left ear was weak so i was on TMU and told me to see my GP and asked a refer to Specialist ENT , I have done all this in Marchand see My Gp told me i need to wait for 4 week but i dont get an appointment letter till 6 week and i ring the Hospital and asked how long do i need to wait , and they told me that My Gp put me on long wait which means that i may see the Specialist about 8 months time i was really surprised . Went back to my GP and asked weather she can put me for an Urgent refer but she refuse , till today I’m waiting for my appointment letter to see the ENT Specialist. I was really surprised because i can hear everything properly
And When I’ve done my medical the Doctor give me the Report about my hearing test and it says ‘This is not necessarily incompatible with service’ and I don’t really understand because it is not necessarily incompatible with the service, why do i need to see the Specialist again ??? ☹️☹️☹️☹️

Nobody on the forum is qualified to talk about your medical situation, so you're not going to get the answers you want here.

You'll have to finish the process of seeing the specialist before you're able to proceed.

Hi

As has already been advised, you will need to let the medical situation complete to be able to know. There will have been a reason during the medical that you were made TMU. But if you're found that your hearing is okay then you'll be able to appeal and provide evidence etc and see if your application can continue.

Try to remember that your RAF/armed forces medical is in place for a reason. It's not like a medical for a civilian role, it's to make sure that you're medically fit for service life and the role you've applied for, so it may be that something is found that normally wouldn't be an issue, but is for an armed forces application.

Kind regards
