Hello,

I am an international student (from Australia) looking at studying my Arts Management Masters over in the UK in 2020. I did apply for entry into King's College in 2019, however I was rejected and just found my experience with them to be awful, so I will not be applying there again...

I am looking at a few different options, and am unsure which would be the better Masters program:
- MA in Arts Administration & Cultural Policy at Goldsmiths
- MA in Arts, Festival and Cultural Management at QMU (Edinburgh) or
- MA in Arts Policy & Management at Birkbeck

Any advice/suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Lisa

Hi, Einburgh is very different from Golddsmiths and Birkbeck.
I do recommend going to www.seeuni.org
the web is for undergraduate, but I guess it shows the quality of the course and uni.
Rank of university:
Edinburgh: 5
Goldsmiths: 110
Birkbeck: 160
You can go through the rank of course from all universities.
I found glasgow, aberdeen, st. Andrews, leeds, durham, loughbrough, ... many many have similar courses.
I think best choice would be a good rank of both uni and course.
You can balance it.
good luck

Hi,

Thanks for your reply, however I’m referring to Queen Margaret Uni, not the Uni of Edinburgh.

Thanks though!

Sorry, about that.
The rank of uni:
Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh: 69
Goldsmiths College: 110
Birkbeck: 160

I checked the course using the keyword "Arts" on the seeuni.org website.
I didn't find info of QMU, and Goldsmiths' Arts seems good. But the uni rank of Goldsmiths is a bit far from the QMU.
QMU I guess would be better.
But KCL is top 20 uni. Why not find some uni that ranks around 30 and 40? You can just rely on the SEEUNI and Times to find some. The SEEUNI ranks are most trustworthy, but it ranks all the uni in the UK, so you can cross-check with the Times ranking.
