what's the best home bodyweight workout (without equipment)?
at the moment i got pressups, crunches, squats. but even crunches don't seem to be that effective without any weight. is there much else? (bearing in mind i don't have access to anywhere i can do pullups)

bw exercises are squats and burpees (with jumps), inclined pressups, chinups, pullups, crunches. as well as runnning, cycling etc

These become much more effective when weight is added. Why cant you just go to a gym

Get Never Gymless by Ross Enamait should be extremely high on your list.

No pullup bar? Do it off a sturdy door, drape a towel over the top so you don't rip up your hands and wedge it open.

Lunges? Bodyweight/'King' deadlift? Supermans? Pike pressups? Situps? Reverse crunches? Diamond/wide/normal/divebomber/hindu pressups? Tuck jumps? Lunge jumps? Squat Jumps? Glute ham raise? Calf raises? Chinups? Dips?

Buy a book called solitary fitness by Charles Bronson.

I followed his 32 day regime, and I'm a hell of a lot stronger and fitter than I was back when I started

You don't need weights or equipment to get fit and strong

To a degree. The strength gains will stop at a point as your bodyweight has a limit.

Also, the only 'equipment' you need at home to have a proper workout is a powercage, bench, 2 bars, and a set of plates. (That doesn't cost too much.)
