Which hospital is the best in the UK for a placement after medicine?

(in regards to technology)

I’m not sure I understand your question.

Are you asking which hospital has the best IT infrastructure, as a means to determining where you would like to do your FY1 year?

I'm just wondering who you think is going to know the answer to this question? You have not specified what constitutes "best" and I am not aware of anywhere that lists the IT infrastructure of every hospital and Trust in the UK

In terms of their IT? I really do not think anybody measures this, or even have the faintest idea how they would score it. What exactly are you looking for?

So you want the hospital with the most technology... or the one that is 'most prestigious'... or just the one which is biggest?! Those are three entirely different criteria!

Perhaps you should make up your mind what you want and come back!
It’s probably worthwhile saying that the biggest/most prestigious hospitals with the best facilities might not actually necessarily be good places to do your foundation years. Often these will be big Teaching hospitals with super specialist departments that don’t let their FY1s do anything vaguely interesting with patients. So rather than gaining good clinical experience you end up just being even more of a paperwork monkey than you would elsewhere (admittedly FY1s are generally used as medical secretaries basically everywhere, but smaller DGHs will also need you to do some actual clinical work treating patients too)
