Im waiting for the results of my A-levels, and i originally applied for sociology and media studies at portsmouth uni. I have since decided i want to do human geography at the same uni, so i was thinking i should call up the uni and see if i can change now, but i dont want to change to human geog before results encase its harder to get into a geography course than a sociology one. If i get in to do sociology and media i could change WHILE im at portsmouth ryt? Anyways i just wanted some advice on what i should do really, thanks

You MAY be able to transfer while at Portsmouth. Often unis have a quota set aside for transfer from other courses. But there is no right to do so and it's entirely down to the univeristy (usually Dean's) discretion.

If geography is what you really want to do then try and transfer now unless you really do think you could be happy enough staying with meda, and sociology (should the transfer fail).

I don't know how likely it is that you'll be able to change now. You may need to withdraw and reapply. What are the differences in entry requirements? Well, whatever, just try and get in touch with Portsmouth as soon as possible.
