Not the spiritual bowlocks

--

In your life there will be something that clarifies everything for you, puts all of the worlds foible and insignificance into perspective.

Not some will have either reached this event, or will believe they have, others may not. Something that made you feel strength inside you you never knew existed, that you saw a square millimetre of, but was hidden by the weakness you felt at the present time.

For me: Heartbreak - I can't believe how clear it made things, I moved on, and the happiness I feel as a result of knowing exactly what I'm doing these days is spectacular -

Wondered if you'd like to share thoughts on the moment of clarity theory and on instances that life became clear for you, clearer than you ever thought, and the hurt went away?

Whatever. Say something.

Coming from a poor family with serious issues (lol), my whole upbringing was a bit of an 'enlightenment'. Can't point to a single event, but rather a series of countless traumatic events throughout my life which place everything into perspective. In spite of everything, I'm still fairly optimistic though lol.

^ hmm, yeah well it shapes you into some sort of decent person usually, I had that stuff but I hid from that never cleared anything. The heartbreak is what opened my eyes to things

for me is my parents' dysfunctional relationship. definitely puts things into perspective, and it also explains the subconscious things i do or say in my relationships.
i feel sometimes there is no one out there for me, or for anyone.
unconditional love - i find it hard to believe this.
hah i'm ****ed up it seems :p:

Every now and then, I get an overwhelming sense of tiny-ness in comparison to the universe. Does this count?

Nah, it's not a piss take. I'm actually feeling like **** these past two days, so unfortunately there's not much honesty behind the constant 'lol's. Anyway, how have you been?
