Hey, basically I'm looking at the fancy shaped (so called by the website!), oval cut engagement ring. I don't know what size of diamond I want yet, but I don't live anywhere near a Tiffany store to go for a consultation. So until we get down to a store, I was just wondering if anyone knows roughly how much they cost? Money doesn't really matter, but, for my boyfriend I'd like to roughly how much it might cost!

Thanks in advance

According to http://www.tiffany.com/Engagement/It...6&sku=19861015 it is priced from around $5,600. So roughly £2,800...

My engagement ring was a Hula Hoop, replaced a little later by a more permanent curtain ring.

You'd get more for your money with an unbranded item. A lot of the price is simply for the Tiffany brand. You should check out other rings as well.

Given that it is SUCH a huge purchase, you really are better to wait till you can get a consultation.

Yea I agree.

Yes they look nice, but I honestly can't see what the big deal with them are.

OP, maybe keep your options open and browse elsewhere before you solidly place your heart on a Tiffany ring.

I wouldn't pay for Tiffany because like someone has said you are paying for the brand name.

I wear jewellery from Forzieri of Italy. I got a ring for my 18th (off my then partner) which for me outshines anything I ever saw on Tiffany.

You are very lucky though.

Now that is stunning - that in my opinion is a whole lot better than Tiffany's.
Its different and although still expensive ish - its gorgeous.

Isn't it just. You should see some of there other pieces...they've got some for £27,000!

But most of the gorgeous pieces are really reasonably priced and I love the couple of pieces I have
