How old are you/how long you been menstruating?
It can take years for everything to settle down properly, I wouldn't worry tooooo much about it.

4 weeks late isn't normal (once your periods have settled), but the flow you're having now may be normal because of the delay.

If you're worried about going to the doctors, why don't you give NHS direct a call? They are available on 0845 4647. It's totally anonymous.

stress is the most likely cause....its not normal but it doesn't sound like you in any danger.

I normally take paracetamol and ibuprofen together. How old are you?

Adults can have 4 doses of 1000mg of paracetamol (2 standard tablets) and 3 doses of 400mg of ibuprofen (2 standard or 1 extra strong tablet) per day. If you try and take them regularly it'll work ebst.

I normally take paracetamol every 4-5 hours, and ibuprofen for the 1st, 2nd and 4th dose of the day, so it builds up to cover 3rd a little (and my period pain is usually least late afternoon/early evening), but then you've got both to go to bed.

Clots can cause a fair bit of pain, the paracetamol helps them a fair bit.

If that's not enough though, you really want to see the doctors, they might be able to give you something stronger on prescription if it continues.

I know this is pretty gross, but is there any chance that you could be having an early miscarriage?

But what can she do about it ?
Give you painkillers, or something to help make it easier.

Tell you what's wrong (or if it's normal) and give you something to help?
