how to answer history paper 1 - 16 markers?

Okay, so generally with those 16 markers my teacher recommends:

PEEL paragraphs 3x (point - evidence - explanation - link back to question)
- 2 agree 1 disagree / 1 agree 2 disagree

Conclusion explaining why you agree/disagree (never sit on the fence, always choose)

I use this structure and generally get 14+ marks :biggrin:

edit: for paper 1 specifically, there's also 4 marks for SPAG! (''spelling, punctuation, grammar and use of specialist terminology''), so ensure you are spelling key words correctly!
