Does anyone else get the feeling that organisations/youth groups/media bodies etc come on TSR all the time to try and get a view of young people and their opinions. I mean if a televison programme wanted to get a view of the majority of young people what a better place to look than here.

I heard someone else on here suggesting radio one does this, commenting on issues discussed on the forum and in another thread its even thought that television show producers are contacting individual members based on their posts/profiles. It has also been suggested universities would look on TSR. What do you think of this, would it affect what you say on here? Do you believe it happens?

Would give a rather skewed opinion of young people.

Yes it happens. I don't think it would really affect any of my posts.

Answer:

A lot of young people use TSR. A sample becomes more indicative of the population as the number of people in the sample increase ( assuming they are from perfectly mixed backgrounds :p:).

Oddly enough this made me laugh. I tried to rep you, but apparently you can't rep someone twice in 28 days - so remind me in 20 days time...

I can just see the producers of Big Brother scouring the Health & Relationships bit of this forum looking for new housemates...

Are you talking about this forum in particular, or just forums frequented by young people in general?
