You can't really use it as a deciding factor if over 90% of your applicants have got AAA+ predictions...
surely as levels are more relevant though, and i didnt just mean predictions, i meant grades already achieved. like for example most of my gcses were compulsory and i didnt do that well in them but was still made to carry on.

i actually fancy my chances more at cambridge now

and on the UKCAT - there is no practice like mark so i have no idea what i even got. so far;

verbal reasoning i found a lot easier than expected - in fact i found it the easiest.
QR was ok but the time limit was the biggest issue, the questions were ok
abstract reasoning was really hard, i didnt havea clue for at least half of them and just guessed, i need tips for AR plleeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaassssss sssseeeeeeeeee guys

decision analysis was also hard but time was in abundance so the outlook is better,

i have got a book about passin ghte ukcat and it has practice questions and stuff so im gna do that tonite

Does anyone know how much Keele use the UKCAT in deciding who gets an interview? When i rang them up, all they said was that they didn't have a cut off score.

I'm pretty sure most applicants achieved AAA+ in AS as well. It's just a case of finding something to distinguish the plethora of outstanding candidates that apply there.

Also, I heard at a couple of open days that there's been a lot of research into the correlation between GCSE results and degree success. Apparently GCSEs are a much better indicator of this than GCE exams... (Not to say that getting below average GCSEs means that you will do less well, but the general trend is as such.)

My best advice is to relax and just try your best. Answer as many questions as you can correctly because really, I believe that it the most important factor when sitting the UKCAT. I answered about 21 questions in the Quantitative Reasoning with about 14/15 that I felt were definitely correct. I guessed the rest of the questions and ended up with 690 in that section. So yeah, answer as many as you can correctly and confidently and resort to guessing as a last resort. I wish I could give you advice about the Verbal Reasoning section but I don't really know what to say. With the Abstract Reasoning, please just take your time on it. I was so caught up on getting through it in 15 minutes (which was completely wrong) so just make sure that you are alert and can recognise most of the patterns before basing all your answers on instinct.
