In the future I want to be a holiday rep. (Ambitious, I know).
Silly me, I didn't take spanish at GCSE so I can't do it for A level. I did a french GCSE which isn't really going to help me loads.
Does anyone know what good ways to learn spanish are? I don't know any spanish speaking people either! Thanks!

I'd advise talking to your teachers about it, they'll give you some good advice. Perhaps you coul dbe allowed to sit in on year 7 lessons for it, but I doub tyou'd want to do that!
Therea re many language schools who run weekly sessions, but I am personally a fan of Apple languages.
Here's a link...

it's expensive but i love them, very good.

Some colleges/sixth forms also offer some languages courses as part of their enrichment, even if you havent done it at GCSE (probably at very basic level), so maybe check with your college/sixth form. Maybe you could do GCSE Spanish alongside your A Levels?

I took A-Level French from scratch, is there any way your school would allow you to do the same with Spanish?

If you have good grades in French they may see you as capable of taking on a new language

Thats right. I just remembered, some colleges let you start a language from scratch if you are bilingual.

Yeah, well at my school they don't have Spanish on the timetable, but because i had top marks in German and French one of the french teachers (who can speak Spanish) taught a small group of us during our free periods.

If one were so inclined one could find all sorts of programmes from torrents.

I hear Rosseta Stone is particularly useful.

I'm learning Spanish at college in the evenings, maybe you could see if your college offers this?

Are there any universities nearby? They often offer language courses for the public: though you'll have to pay of course.
