ive heard, that before term ends, you usually finish a week before. is this true? my mate told me this. but im not sure.

are you talking about say, end of term at xmas, easter and end of year? If so, it depends on your course. Some do finish a week before depening on the layout, but if you're doing a heavier course - say chemistry or any type of science, the terms are usually from beginning to end as full as possible!

definitely depends on the course - with comp. sci. we finished a week early, but we didn't have a reading week (basically a week off) in the middle, which some of the other courses do. swings and roundabouts!

For Law alot of the modules will finish lectures a week or two early to allow time for revision, but it's not set in stone.
