So basically I bought a gsce student book for math, it is AQA and I found out that my exam is going to be in edexcel, my question is, will I be able to pass the exam (edexcel) with a A* if I study with the AQA Book both are Higher
Should I buy the Edexcel edition? Almost 20£

you could try find it in your school library first?

most of the content is similar, though there are differences with certain topics being in different papers. and being tested on different depths of the content.
you probably could print out the Edexcel spec and just make sure everything's there in the right detail and if not ask your teacher to help you out or just use google to aid your learning.
