That is my essay question. I am really struggling. Any suggested points??

I'd split it out
look at/compare the movement of
- dune peaks/troughs
vs
- ripples
vs
- individual sand grains
As well as the attributes that effect speed of movement (wind speed, humidity, grain size, grain shape etc) and how speed of movement affects the shape and size of dunes
Also maybe look at desert/dune growth/encroachment into new areas and shrinking over time too - a couple of case studies.
