Can you do medicine with this?

I know that the deadline for medicine applications is gone, but I'm just wondering if hypothetically, this would've allowed someone to do medicine: A*A*A*A in chem, maths, econs & further maths respectively + an A* in an EPQ about economics. Would medical schools accept this student, even though they don't have A Level biology & chose to wrote about economics for their EPQ? And to follow up,, if in an interview, the interviewer questions why one didn't do biology if they wanted to do medicine, what would you say?
