Economics and Career in Markerting and Markert Research Watch

I am interested in doing an Economics degree because of the propsects in careers in finance and banking but i am also very interested in markerting and market research is there any chance of be getting into careers like these with a degree like Economics.

Of course. Economics will give you a grounding in business, and most things in marketing/market research are taught in grad jobs and grad training programmes. You could go into it with any degree, but Economics is slightly related and gives a good all round bases in many disiplines.

If you do well, then you shouldn't have a problem. A degree in economics will open plenty of doors for you. Additionally, a career in marketing doesn't require anything specific whereas depending in your role in market research, the econometric modules from your economics degree could be very useful.
