Can I do A level art, without the GCSE? Watch

i'm in year 10, i started thinking about careers and i thought that i want to do Art/design. but, i didn't pick art GCSE, Can i do A level Art without the GCSE or not?
i'd appreciated any advice, maybe it isn't too late to switch to GCSE art. i only started my gcses this year.

It depends on the sixth form. However it’s more likely they will want you to at least have gcse art of a decent or good grade. You can always try to switch

i believe that you'll need some sort of portfolio that shows a lot of different drawing techniques; best to see if you can change it, but gcse art is hard ;/ it's extremely time consuming
